As a democratic country, Indonesia holds a presidential election every five years, with the next scheduled for 2024. As a symbol of democracy, Indonesians eagerly welcome the elections to elect their next president. However, unfortunate tendencies arise as supporters align with their candidates, potentially causing horizontal conflicts. To avert such clashes, Indonesia’s oversight body, known as BAWASLU, has developed an index reflecting the probability of vulnerability during elections across provinces and cities/districts in the country.
